This mission statement was revised at the Asian Council retreat held in the Schoenstatt Center on May 19, 2001. Filipino members Sr. Virginia Azcueta,SFCC and Bro. Zeke Mapa with Director Fr. Paul Fliss worked on the revised draft presented by the group.

ASIAN MINISTRY BOARD MISSION STATEMENT:

WE, the members of the Asian Ministry Advisory Board, representing many Asian Catholic communities, are the bridge between the Asian Catholic communities and the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. As Disciples of Christ, we continue his mission by:

• Giving Voice to Asian Catholic Needs
• Serving as resource to the Office of Asian Ministry, promoting respect and awareness of cultural heritage and diversity and encouraging unity and greater participation within the larger church communities;
• Deepening faith through evangelization, religious education and retreats;
  Fostering all form of vocation (Lay, Religious, Priesthood) within our Catholic communities.
